This work evolved from an experimental process over the last 3 years, and is part of a body of work where the focus moves to the tiny details of the banksia and protea flowers and the shape of the little flowers within, the marks create a veneer over an abstract landscape.
These brush strokes are usually purposefully unconnected, the space between has as much significance as the organic shaped brush strokes. The size and form are dictated by the type of brush and consistency of the paint as it's applied.
