About Karen Goddard artist

Karen is a diverse artist, working across the compositional spectrum. Using colour to convey an emotional response to her surroundings. 

Her recent still life works using native flowers gave rise to a new series of abstracts, where she utilises mark making in colours inspired by her still life paintings. These marks create a veneer over the background, they signify change and obscure the reality behind. 

Fearless in her use of colour, these works can be the most mesmerising pieces, the deliberate marks creating a strong sense of order over the chaos behind.
