A vibrant mini painting measuring 30cm x 30cm ready to hang with painted sides, and a wire across the back
Part of a current body of work, exploring mark making techniques. A chaotic underlay of colour is added to the canvas, in this case an abstract landscape, contrasting marks are placed in a veneer across these layers. The colours in this work are a nod to the extraordinary colours used by Degas, I was lucky enough to see one of his famous works recently and the rich oranges in his compositions they are so vibrant. This influenced this small series of works currently in my studio. The one in this listing is small and perfectly formed. Hope you like it.
