Abstract work featuring mark making in beautiful warm and pastel Sunset tones. .
Part of a current body of work where the simple shapes of the banksia flower have inspired the artist to focus on this detail and use it to paint a veneer of brush strokes over abstract landscape and layers of paint. Resulting in a textural work, the mark making obscuring the background.
These works react to the light source they are in, natural light or a picture light give it a warmer tone. Less light cools it down a touch. It's a lovely little work and has brought much joy to my studio. Thanks for looking.
