The story behind the original work - This work is inspired by my surroundings and nature. This work is in oil, a vibrant piece of joy. I have grown Bougainvillea's many times in my gardens, both in Australia and in my time spent in South Africa. The flowers are fascinating, as the petals fall they change colour as do some of the flowers during the season, this work represents those changes in the season. Full of thick impasto brush strokes this work has many many layers, there is a fullness to the final brush strokes giving it that sense of the texture from the real flowers.
This work can be framed in an oak floating frame at an additional cost of $799 if you are keen to have it framed please first purchase the work here in our shop and then send a message by email with your order number. We will invoice you for the frame. Allow 7 to 10 days for framing and up to a week for delivery.
