From my series of still life native flowers, which I revisit frequently. The colours are always my inspiration for my mark making veneer paintings.
The flowers that feature are fresh and set up in my studio in front of the window, which allows the light to surround the vase.
I am influenced by the impressionists, and many of my still life painting are full of marks making and brush strokes capturing the light and changing circumstances. The flowers in this work are slightly more focused on than usual, bringing out the details.
This work is in Oil on gallery wrapped canvas and framed in oak, works in Oil are a higher price point than acrylic. ( Currently being framed will be available to wrap and post from 25th March onwards, allow at least 2 days for packing as it's large ) so do bear that in mind if you are thinking of purchasing.
