The story behind the original work - This work is inspired by my surroundings and nature, This work is in acrylic, this work is part of my series of macro and micro pointillism and mark making, an abstract background, full of beautiful brush strokes using impressionists techniques, an ethereal work, the final layers create depth and light using beautiful colours and the spaces in between.

Evoking many childhood memories of the harvest in the UK and later in my travels in South Africa, through farmlands in the Western Cape during harvest, a sunset road trip heading to the damn, the most magical time of day, these memories were revived. My hope is that the viewer is drawn in and finds their own narrative.
